Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paula Scher could be acquired at Christies in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Edition auction, the work Berlin changed hands for USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,286.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paula Scher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Manhattan at Night in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,423.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paula Scher konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Edition wechselte die Arbeit Berlin für USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.286,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paula Scher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Manhattan at Night im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.423,39).
