It changed hands for a price of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,464.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paulus van Liender have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A winter landscape with figures skating on ice in front of the Oostpoort, Delft in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 12,500.00.
