Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work Townsfolk Collecting Water From A Well by Paulus van Liender. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 3,366.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paulus van Liender - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A winter landscape with figures skating on ice in front of the Oostpoort, Delft, which sold at auction in November 2011 for EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Townsfolk Collecting Water From A Well von Paulus van Liender zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 3.366,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Paulus van Liender mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A winter landscape with figures skating on ice in front of the Oostpoort, Delft beobachtet, die im November 2011 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
