Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work View Of The Oostpoort, Delft by Paulus van Liender. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,224.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paulus van Liender - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A winter landscape with figures skating on ice in front of the Oostpoort, Delft, which sold at auction in November 2011 for EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Of The Oostpoort, Delft von Paulus van Liender zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.224,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Paulus van Liender mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A winter landscape with figures skating on ice in front of the Oostpoort, Delft beobachtet, die im November 2011 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
