In June 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Grasshopper Box by Paul Sietsema. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,304.60), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Sietsema have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Note Drawing in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 36,770.89).

Im Juni 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grasshopper Box von Paul Sietsema zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.304,60) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Sietsema auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Note Drawing im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 36.770,89).
