Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Four Horseman of the Apocalypse #8, from Exit Art by Paul Pfeiffer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,622.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Pfeiffer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Race Riot in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 108,589.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Horseman of the Apocalypse #8, from Exit Art von Paul Pfeiffer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.622,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Pfeiffer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Race Riot im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 108.589,10).
