Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse (12) by Paul Pfeiffer was sold in the Contemporary Photographs auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,543.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Pfeiffer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Race Riot in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 108,589.10).

Die Arbeit Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse (12) von Paul Pfeiffer wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Photographs bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.292,00 (€ 4.543,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Pfeiffer erzielen.
