Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paul Feeley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2004. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 28,680.00 (€ 23,097.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Feeley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work ACRUX, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 91,430.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Feeley erzielte im September 2004 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 28.680,00 (€ 23.097,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Feeley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ACRUX beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 91.430,55) versteigert wurde.
