This artwork by Paul Feeley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November 2007. In the Contemporary Art Part II auction, the work Apyu sold for USD 75,400.00 (€ 51,334.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Feeley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot ACRUX sold at auction in May 2013 with the realized price of USD 118,750.00 (€ 91,430.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Feeley erzielte im November 2007 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II wurde die Arbeit Apyu für USD 75.400,00 (€ 51.334,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Feeley; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ACRUX im Mai 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 91.430,55).
