Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Raspberries, Gooseberries, Plums And Grapes On A Mossy Bank by Oliver Clare. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,891.32). Admittedly, works by Oliver Clare have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Primroses and apple blossom, a bird's nest with eggs, on a mossy bank; and Grapes, plums, gooseberries, a plum and a strawberry, on a mossy bank in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 13,617.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Raspberries, Gooseberries, Plums And Grapes On A Mossy Bank von Oliver Clare zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.891,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oliver Clare auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Primroses and apple blossom, a bird's nest with eggs, on a mossy bank; and Grapes, plums, gooseberries, a plum and a strawberry, on a mossy bank im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.400,00 (€ 13.617,06).
