Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Norman Lewis was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,160.00 (€ 17,167.67). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ritual in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 2,780,000.00 (€ 2,522,914.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Norman Lewis wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.160,00 (€ 17.167,67) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Lewis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ritual im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.780.000,00 (€ 2.522.914,97).
