Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Gathering) by Norman Lewis was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 819,375.00 (€ 793,737.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Lewis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ritual, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 2,780,000.00 (€ 2,522,914.97).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 819.375,00 (€ 793.737,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden.
