Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Untitled (Red Nude) by Norman Lewis. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 53,340.00 (€ 50,396.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ritual in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 2,780,000.00 (€ 2,522,914.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Red Nude) von Norman Lewis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 53.340,00 (€ 50.396,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Lewis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ritual im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.780.000,00 (€ 2.522.914,97).
