Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Norman Lewis was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 567,000.00 (€ 549,258.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Norman Lewis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ritual in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 2,780,000.00 (€ 2,522,914.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Norman Lewis kam im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 567.000,00 (€ 549.258,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norman Lewis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ritual im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.780.000,00 (€ 2.522.914,97).
