This artwork by Norman Lewis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2021. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Many Perish, Many Plant Themselves sold for USD 143,750.00 (€ 127,358.91) - well above the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ritual in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 2,780,000.00 (€ 2,522,914.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Norman Lewis erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Many Perish, Many Plant Themselves für USD 143.750,00 (€ 127.358,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00.
