Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bacchantes III by Norman Bluhm was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,094.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Bluhm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chicago 1920 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,138,600.00 (€ 731,748.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bacchantes III von Norman Bluhm wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.094,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Bluhm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chicago 1920 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.138.600,00 (€ 731.748,07).
