Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work For The Worshipers (M-Wine) by Noh Sang Kyoon was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,134.30). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Noh Sang Kyoon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work For the worshippers - Bodhisttva in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 540,000.00 (€ 54,239.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit For The Worshipers (M-Wine) von Noh Sang Kyoon im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.134,30) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Noh Sang Kyoon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit For the worshippers - Bodhisttva im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 540.000,00 (€ 54.239,85).
