Auction result well in line with expectations
The work For The Worshipers (M-Wine) by Noh Sang Kyoon was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,276.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Noh Sang Kyoon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work For the worshippers - Bodhisttva, which sold at auction in May 2006 for HKD 540,000.00 (€ 54,239.85).
