In November 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work The directions - Light Pink by Noh Sang Kyoon. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 78,000.00 (€ 8,534.35), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Noh Sang Kyoon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work For the worshippers - Bodhisttva in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 540,000.00 (€ 54,239.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit The directions - Light Pink von Noh Sang Kyoon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 78.000,00 (€ 8.534,35) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Noh Sang Kyoon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit For the worshippers - Bodhisttva im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 540.000,00 (€ 54.239,85).
