Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Part (8) by Nikki S. Lee was sold in the Contemporary Art Part II auction at Phillips in New York in May 2011. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,347.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nikki S. Lee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images, 1998-1999, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,209.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Part (8) von Nikki S. Lee wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.347,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nikki S. Lee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images, 1998-1999 beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 19.200,00 (€ 15.209,13) versteigert wurde.
