Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nikki S. Lee could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Photographs auction, the work Selected Photographs changed hands for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,632.90) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nikki S. Lee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images, 1998-1999, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,209.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nikki S. Lee konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Selected Photographs für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.632,90) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nikki S. Lee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images, 1998-1999 beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 19.200,00 (€ 15.209,13) versteigert wurde.
