This work without title by Nicolas de Staël was sold in the Graphic Century auction at Christies in New York in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,696.37), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas de Staël achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) in October 2019 with an auction result of EUR 20,000,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nicolas de Staël wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Graphic Century bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.696,37) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas de Staël erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.000.000,00.
