Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Composition - 1946 by Nicolas de Staël. The price achieved of EUR 10,496.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas de Staël achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) in October 2019 with an auction result of EUR 20,000,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition - 1946 von Nicolas de Staël zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.496,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas de Staël erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.000.000,00.
