Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December this year Artcurial held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Composition - 1943-44 by Nicolas de Staël. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 603,520.00 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas de Staël achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) in October 2019 with an auction result of EUR 20,000,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition - 1943-44 von Nicolas de Staël zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 603.520,00 und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas de Staël erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.000.000,00.
