Sold at the upper estimate price
In December 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Interiors, which included the work Lost Boy by Nicholas Africano. The auction ended at the price of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,239.57), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicholas Africano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman with Fruit in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 27,600.00 (€ 20,129.82).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lost Boy von Nicholas Africano zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.239,57) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Africano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman with Fruit im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.600,00 (€ 20.129,82).
