Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work I'm Leaving, 1977 by Nicholas Africano was sold in the Post War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in February this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,355.00 (€ 5,050.93). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nicholas Africano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woman with Fruit, which sold at auction in July 2007 for USD 27,600.00 (€ 20,129.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit I'm Leaving, 1977 von Nicholas Africano wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.355,00 (€ 5.050,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Africano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Woman with Fruit beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für USD 27.600,00 (€ 20.129,82) versteigert wurde.
