Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Metamorphosis I by Nicholas Africano for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,511.83). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicholas Africano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman with Fruit in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 27,600.00 (€ 20,129.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Metamorphosis I von Nicholas Africano für USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.511,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Africano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman with Fruit im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.600,00 (€ 20.129,82).
