Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Christies in New York held the auction First Open/ NYC, which included the work Bitten by Nicholas Africano. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,533.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nicholas Africano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman with Fruit in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 27,600.00 (€ 20,129.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open/ NYC durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bitten von Nicholas Africano zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.533,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicholas Africano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman with Fruit im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.600,00 (€ 20.129,82).
