In September 2013 Christies in New York held the auction First Open, which included this untitled work by Nicolas Carone. The »bidding war« ended at USD 58,750.00 (€ 43,405.98), 47% above the upper estimate. Other works by Nicolas Carone have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 80,500.00 (€ 51,638.98) in July 2008 for the work Sound of Blue Light.
