Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nicolas Carone could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Open House auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,538.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Carone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sound of Blue Light in July 2008 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 51,638.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicolas Carone konnte im Januar 2009 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Open House wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.538,27) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Carone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sound of Blue Light im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 51.638,98).
