Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included this untitled work by Neil Raitt. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,831.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Neil Raitt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cabinectomy, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 33,137.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Neil Raitt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.831,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Neil Raitt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cabinectomy beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 33.137,66) versteigert wurde.
