In October 2020 Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Mountain Cabin Waterfall (Emerald Green) by Neil Raitt. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,164.06), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Neil Raitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cabinectomy in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 33,137.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Cabin Waterfall (Emerald Green) von Neil Raitt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.164,06) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Neil Raitt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cabinectomy im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 33.137,66).
