Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Linear Construction in Space No. 1 by Naum Gabo for USD 125,000.00 (€ 110,394.77). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Naum Gabo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Linear Construction in Space No. 2 in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 515,250.00 (€ 597,653.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Linear Construction in Space No. 1 von Naum Gabo für USD 125.000,00 (€ 110.394,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Naum Gabo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Linear Construction in Space No. 2 im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 515.250,00 (€ 597.653,05).
