Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bas-relief on a circular surface, semi-spheric by Naum Gabo was auctioned at Christies in Paris in October last year. The price achieved of EUR 88,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Naum Gabo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Linear Construction in Space No. 2 in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 515,250.00 (€ 597,653.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bas-relief on a circular surface, semi-spheric von Naum Gabo kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 88.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Naum Gabo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Linear Construction in Space No. 2 im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 515.250,00 (€ 597.653,05).
