Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Optical Relief by Naum Gabo was auctioned at Christies in October 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 111,068.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Naum Gabo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Linear Construction in Space No. 2 in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 515,250.00 (€ 597,653.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Optical Relief von Naum Gabo kam im Oktober 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 111.068,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Naum Gabo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Linear Construction in Space No. 2 im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 515.250,00 (€ 597.653,05).
