Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Thérèse Dreaming by Naoto Kawahara was sold in the First Open/NYC auction at Christies in New York in March 2015. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,310.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Naoto Kawahara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La victime, which sold at auction in March 2012 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,623.97).

Die Arbeit Thérèse Dreaming von Naoto Kawahara wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion First Open/NYC bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.310,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Naoto Kawahara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La victime beobachtet, die im März 2012 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.623,97) versteigert wurde.
