Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Othik by Nancy Graves. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,959.58), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nancy Graves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Not Identical With in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 111,327.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Othik von Nancy Graves zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.959,58) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nancy Graves erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Not Identical With im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 111.327,09).
