Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nam June Paik could be acquired at Bonhams in January this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples | Live Online auction, the work Untitled, from Flowers of Hwadong are as Strong as a Rose of Sharon changed hands for USD 637.50 (€ 587.12) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nam June Paik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fat Boy in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,280,000.00 (€ 503,667.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nam June Paik konnte im Januar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples | Live Online wechselte die Arbeit Untitled, from Flowers of Hwadong are as Strong as a Rose of Sharon für USD 637,50 (€ 587,12) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nam June Paik erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fat Boy im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.280.000,00 (€ 503.667,21).
