Auction result well in line with expectations
The work TV by Nam June Paik was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 11,520.00 (€ 10,561.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nam June Paik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fat Boy in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,280,000.00 (€ 503,667.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit TV von Nam June Paik kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.520,00 (€ 10.561,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nam June Paik erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fat Boy im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.280.000,00 (€ 503.667,21).
