Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2024 Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Born Again by Nam June Paik. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,320.00 (€ 34,008.74). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nam June Paik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fat Boy in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,280,000.00 (€ 503,667.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2024 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Born Again von Nam June Paik zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.320,00 (€ 34.008,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nam June Paik erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fat Boy im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.280.000,00 (€ 503.667,21).
