Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flicker by Nam June Paik was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Sale auction at Christies in Shanghai in September this year. The price achieved of HKD 945,000.00 (€ 114,017.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nam June Paik have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fat Boy in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,280,000.00 (€ 503,667.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flicker von Nam June Paik wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Sale bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 945.000,00 (€ 114.017,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nam June Paik auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fat Boy im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.280.000,00 (€ 503.667,21).
