Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Figure) by Mose Tolliver for USD 892.50 (€ 770.93). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mose Tolliver - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Statue of Liberty), circa 1980, which sold at auction in January 2021 for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,545.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Figure) von Mose Tolliver für USD 892,50 (€ 770,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mose Tolliver mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Statue of Liberty), circa 1980 beobachtet, die im Januar 2021 für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.545,12) versteigert wurde.
