Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures and Prints, which included the work The Drawing Room Table by Mikhail Zharov. It changed hands for a price of GBP 576.00 (€ 840.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mikhail Zharov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poppies, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,334.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Drawing Room Table von Mikhail Zharov zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 576,00 (€ 840,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mikhail Zharov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poppies beobachtet, die im November 2011 für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.334,80) versteigert wurde.
