It achieved a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,746.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mikhail Zharov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Poppies sold at auction in November 2011 with the realized price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,334.80).

Die Arbeit A field of poppies von Mikhail Zharov wurde im Juli 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.746,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mikhail Zharov; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Poppies im November 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.334,80).
