Sold at the upper estimate price
In January 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Poppy Field by Mikhail Zharov. The auction ended at the price of GBP 500.00 (€ 670.27), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 400.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mikhail Zharov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poppies, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,334.80).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poppy Field von Mikhail Zharov zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 500,00 (€ 670,27) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mikhail Zharov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poppies beobachtet, die im November 2011 für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.334,80) versteigert wurde.
