Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Psd_693 (Green/Blue/Purple) by Michael Staniak was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,637.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Staniak - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work IMG_885 (holographic), which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,532.86).

Die Arbeit Psd_693 (Green/Blue/Purple) von Michael Staniak wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.637,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Staniak mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit IMG_885 (holographic) beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.532,86) versteigert wurde.
