Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Staniak could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Img_689 (Holographic) changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,399.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Staniak - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work IMG_885 (holographic), which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,532.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Staniak konnte im September 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Img_689 (Holographic) für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.399,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Staniak mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit IMG_885 (holographic) beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.532,86) versteigert wurde.
