Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work I Will Remember You by Michael Manning. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,000.00 (€ 8,082.62). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Manning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Little Lies, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,921.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit I Will Remember You von Michael Manning zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 9.000,00 (€ 8.082,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Manning mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Little Lies beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.921,39) versteigert wurde.
