The work Study For An Untitled Sculpture Two Works by Mel Kendrick was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. It achieved a price of USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,840.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Mel Kendrick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Black Dots) in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,368.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Study For An Untitled Sculpture Two Works von Mel Kendrick kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.840,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mel Kendrick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Black Dots) im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.368,85).
