Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wenge with Arms by Mel Kendrick was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2007. The price achieved of USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,100.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mel Kendrick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Black Dots) in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,368.85).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.100,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mel Kendrick erzielen.
